Dinga is located in West Punjab - the part of Punjab that is today in Pakistan. It is located between the rivers Jhelum and Chenab. The main highway that runs from Lahore to Rawalpindi is about 15 miles northeast of Dinga. Dinga is about 50 to 75 miles from the border that separates Pakistan and India. Dinga is an old town but it is grown bigger with the time. There is evidence that this town was established in the 16th century. Before the partition in 1947, Muslims, Hindus, and Sikhs used to live here in harmony. There was a Gurdwara for the Sikhs called NanakSar. According to some books, Dinga was the property of a rich lady, who belonged to the sub-caste "Ding" - which is a sub-caste of the Gujars. This is why the town was named Dinga. ڈنگہ مغربی پنجاب میں واقع ایک چھوٹا سا شہر ہے ، یہ دریائے جہلم اور دریائے چناب کے درمیان والے خطہ میں ہے-لاہور سے راولپنڈی جانے والی مرکزی شاھراہ ڈنگہ سے تقریبا ۱۵ میل کے فاصلے سے گزرتی ہے۔ ڈنگہ پاکستان اور بھارت کی سرحد سے ۵۰ اور ۷۰ میل کے فاصلے پر واقع ہے۔

I have started this project back in 2000, while discussion with my cousion Shehzad, we started to think on this project and with-in few days we started work on that. That time I have started my Graduation Degree of Computer Sciences, Finally we have made it. That time me and my cousins aren't that much familier with internet communication or the power of media, so after the launch of Dinga's static Telephone directory we stopped for a long time, We had a response too, a lot of people were visiting and giving suggestions about our project. However, I always tried to maintened and update this project.
In 2004, I got to got to come to Saudi Arabia for my job, Then I have a very short time after office work to work on this project, Now it is again in front of you, still I need help to update the Directory numbers, I will greatly appriciate if anybody help me in this project.
